MRV – Evaluation of known intracranial vascular disease – to evaluate known intracranial aneurysm or arteriovenous malformation (AVM).
Studies of the vertebral and basilar arteries can be performed using magnetic resonance angiography (MRA)
– Evaluate known vertebrobasilar insufficiency (VBI).
– Re-evaluate vascular abnormality visualized on previous brain imaging.
